The Facilities Service supports the Audax subsidiaries in the maintenance of buildings (both in Amsterdam and Gilze), installations and means of production. The department is also responsible for catering, postal services, security, energy supply and all other activities not forming part of the core business of any subsidiary company. This means that – within certain limitations – the Facilities Service is there to meet with any requirement.
This year the building and structural installations such as cooling, electricity, emergency power and sprinklers were subjected to our rigorous maintenance programme as well, ensuring an optimal working environment for the Audax employees. At the beginning of 2007, right before the oil price started to rise, we reached a new agreement on the delivery of natural gas to the Audax companies in Gilze. We also started the implementation of a facilities helpdesk for the central handling of any information on e.g. interruptions of services, internal moving, board room reservations, etc. This means all reports will be processed in an optimal way, including feedback to the parties sending in reports.
This year also saw various new developments in security, aiming to improve the safety and security of the people and hardware that make Audax. Examples are: additional surveillance cameras and entrance security. Some minor renovation work took place in 2007 at the main office in Gilze.
